About the FCFA
FCFA - Who are we

The Firefighters Cancer Foundation Australia (FCFA), was formally established in 2013, to primarily provide support and resources to all firefighters and their families stricken by occupational cancer.

The FCFA is also the National Australian office for the International Firefighter Cancer Foundation, founded in 2004.

The FCFA has advocated for an expansion to the list of cancers to include asbestos-related diseases, primary site liver, lung, skin, cervical, ovarian, pancreatic, penile, thyroid cancer and malignant mesothelioma.

A key focus of the FCFA is to drive education and awareness regarding occupational cancer, including the Presumptive Legislation scheme and minimising carcinogenic exposure to those engaged in structural, bush, aviation, mining and defence firefighting all over Australia.

We help firefighters & their families cope with firefighter cancer, to get through treatment & to come out winning!
